These are quick update that we got from the Haiti Mission Team.
We are not sure how many we will get, but prayers for the team are much appreciated.
(Wed nite) We made it safe and sound! We got to OMS at around 7:30pm. Probably won't hear from us much...no news is good news!
(Thurs nite) We worked at the pension (orphanage) today. Did a bunch of painting and unloaded all the bags of supplies. Weather is 85 sunny...got some good pics. Pray for us to do good work!
(Saturday) We worked a full day at HFC today. We are all pretty beat! what we're doing here is only a tiny drop of water in the ocean. It's humbling seeing those who sacrifice so much more than we have, making Haiti their life's mission. It's hard to feel good about painting, cleaning, and doing activities with the kids when you see so much more that needs to be done. I only hope that we are making an impact.
Everyone in the Haiti Mission Team wants to pass on a Happy New Year to their families, and also remember that our flight is much later on Thursday so we won't be home until 11-12am.
Team Haiti is scheduled to return on American Airlines Flight 896 to JFK at 8:29 pm
The Van Shuttle is confirmed and should be back at Immanuel between 11-11:30pm
Sara mentioned that she would call when they are close to CT., - so let's pray that all goes better with the time frame than when they left :):) Please check your emails before coming to the church....
